There’s a reason why the songs sound different than their previous albums. A few years before this, they had lost all their guitars from a break-in at their studio. They bought all new Fender Jazzmaster’s and whatnots and started fresh.
Murray Street and Sonic Nurse were the first two albums after the unfortunate event.
